This is our apartment building. They are currently doing construction on it, hence the scaffolding. They have been doing it since we moved in. Next

Our apartment is on the fourth floor.

We are very grateful to have an elevator in our building, even if it is very old. It is more updated than most around here. We are espcially grateful since we have to carry everything we buy and by the time we get home we don't want to carry it and the stroller up several flights of stairs!

Our elevator, you have to open the door, something I had to remind my mom of since she isn't used to it. We ave never had a problem with it, though, and it suits our purposes.

We don't know any of our neighbors, that is just the New York thing to do. We do say Hi when we see them, but that is rare.

Welcome to our Apartment. It is actually very large for a Manhattan Apartment. We really lucked out!

We lock two locks and a chain as soon as we enter our aprtment.

Our kitchen. We are very lucky to actually have space for a table, it is a luxery here. We love to sit there, it gets really nice light during the day. The kitchen is quite small, I have all of about a foot of real counter space. I have only 4 cupboards and 1 drawer so we have to be creative with our storage.
OUr living is very large and hosts our futon which is also our guest bed, which, I might add, is quite comfortable. It also hosts our computer desk and large cat jungle gym from the lady we are leasing from.

Mariah loves bath time! Our tub is nice and long and deep, but the shower head is in the middle of the tub/wall, kind of funny, I guess that was the way it was supposed to be back in the 40's or whenever this apartment was built.
