Sorry we haven't posted in a while. We have been on the run for the last month and a half and practically all around the country and back. We left New York right before Mariah's first birthday, so we will try and quickly catch up with the pictures that we didn't have time to post as we took them.
Mariah in her birthday suit on her birthday!
Her first birthday cake. It was a very interesting banana gluten free cake. She didn't really dig into her cake. She daintily touched the frosting and then refused to do anything else. She loved opening her presents. This she also did daintily, tearing off little pieces at a time, making her daddy very impatient. Her favorite presents were her clothes, she picked them up and looked at them and turned them over and looked at them some more.
We had a birthday party with her cousin Seito who shares her same birthday and turned two. He loves trains and all of his birthday presents were train related. Mariah loved to play with Seito and learned all sorts of new tricks from him.
Grandma Carlson sent Mariah a ladybug birthday, it was so fun! She was kind of scared of the ladybug tent, once she warms up to it she will really love it!
Since Mariah wouldn't go in the tent we decided we would have to enjoy it without her. Steven's Mom, his brother Daniel, Daniel's fiance (now wife) Kari, and I all squeezed in there.
