This is the subway stationthat it is practically right outside the door of our building. We are so grateful to live close to a subway station. It is how we get around.

These tunnels go all around underneath New York City and is how New Yorkers get around. This network was built before the city even became so big, it is evidence of amazing foresight, without it, there is no way people could get to where they need to. The streets are tiny and don't support much traffic, especially because there are so many cabs.

This is the station near us, and these machines are where we buy our subway cards.

IN order to get the stroller through the ticket reader, we have to rotate the turnstile and then open the door. To get back out we sometimes set off alarms by opening the door.

This is the tunnell where our subway comes.

Here is our beloved A-train, our connection to the city!

The train has several cars.

The stations aren't always in very good repair and often don't smell very good.

Sometimes the train comes right away, other times we have to wait up to a half hour. Most of the time it isn't a very long wait.
