Fort Tryon Park in the Spring

We love living near Fort Tryon Park. It is a beautiful place to take walks in. Especially now that the trees have leaves and everything is turning green.

It has a variety of paths to walk. I have been impressed with all of the parks here in the city; they all have very varied terrain with rocks and hills, castles and museums, playgrounds and gardens.

The park borders the Hudson River on one side, it always a nice walk. The George Wahsington bridge is in the background. Mariah loves to play with her feet!

Another lovely meandering pathway. This is one of our favorites since it is through the gardens.

There are squirrels all over in the park. I saw my first acorn there. Mariah tries to eat the acorns, though we try to disuade her.
The Cloisters museum is like the castle up on the hill in the middle of Fort Tryon park. It is so neat!
