We spent hours at Times Square on New Years Eve. People got herded in by policeman and you just had to stand there, there were so many people! We found a cafe to sit in for a while. Mariah slept through most of it. 
We met some Italians who traveled here to be at Times Square when the ball dropped. After it did, they shared with us some "Terrible American Champagne" (Sparkling Apple Cider). They were fun.
